Author Introduction:
Liang Xiangrun (1930-2013), also known as Liang Shi, of Han ethnicity, a figure in the study of Yi Jing, with ancestral home in Zhongshan, Guangdong. In 2010, he served as the chairman of the "Chinese Astrology and Divination Exchange Association" and the "Taiwan Religious Propagation Association." A master in the Five Arts (Mountain, Medicine, Destiny, Divination, Physiognomy), well-versed in Confucian classics and a leading authority. Regarding the cultural and theoretical research of the "Five Arts," Mr. Liang Xiangrun dedicated many years to writing. He authored numerous works on destiny studies and Feng Shui. His writings are concise and profound, simple and unadorned. Combining theory and practice with clear logic, he was tireless in teaching. To promote the brilliance of the Five Arts, Mr. Liang not only studied diligently but also visited the common people, respected virtuous and learned individuals, and remained humble. His learning is difficult for later generations to surpass—not due to lack of talent or intelligence, but because the land he cultivated and the forests he felled bear the marks of his axe and plow, making further innovation nearly impossible. Mr. Liang Xiangrun regarded passing on the torch of destiny studies as his mission, producing numerous works, and vowed to dedicate his lifelong knowledge to future generations. It is often said that it is easy to find a teacher of classics but hard to find a master of people. He did not seek personal gain but helped others selflessly. His students spread across the United States, including well-known figures in the Five Arts circle such as Zhong Yiming and Xie Bairong. The renowned destiny scholar Wei Qianli also called Mr. Liang Xiangrun his teacher, sharing his heart openly and exchanging insights on destiny studies.
