Ancient people gathered it to prevent dispersion, guided it to have a stopping point, hence called Feng Shui.'
Ancients believed that the yin and yang energies operate between heaven and earth; when moving in the sky, water can transform into wind, clouds, and rain; when descending to the ground, it becomes vital energy. Ancient Feng Shui scholars observed mountain and river formations to capture the flow of Qi, combining celestial phenomena to make the most precise analysis.
In ancient times, 'Feng Shui' was also called 'Kan Yu'. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Xu Shen explained 'Kan Yu' using a passage from the 'Book of Han · Literature and Arts' which states: 'Kan, the way of heaven; Yu, the way of earth.'
As the name suggests, 'Kan Yu' involves observing celestial phenomena above and examining geographical features below, making it a study of heaven and earth. Ancient Feng Shui scholars had unique perspectives on the integration of humans with nature and their surroundings. Whether it was a residence or ancestral tomb, they aimed for thorough investigation of the natural environment to align with heaven and serve human needs, creating a harmonious living environment that blends with nature and the environment.
Today, living environments are vastly different from ancient times, but a good living environment remains an important desire and need for people. In fact, some people are willing to spend large sums to hire professional designers to realize their dream homes. However, merely pursuing money or aesthetics without understanding how to align with the natural laws of heaven and earth often weakens the positive energy of the home and may even negatively impact the resident's fortune.
This book consolidates my many years of Feng Shui inspection experience, combined with modern home design styles, providing insights on house site selection, design, decoration, and layout. I hope the general public can deepen their understanding of Feng Shui and realize that it is not a static, outdated doctrine; by mastering its key principles and applying them flexibly, Feng Shui can evolve with the times, integrate into modern design styles, and create a comfortable and elegant home environment that also enhances prosperity and good luck.

In the past, scholars studying Feng Shui divided Yang House Feng Shui into 'Outer Six Matters'.
And 'Inner Six Matters'. The Outer Six Matters generally refer to the external environment of the house, including 'roads, bridges, wells, toilets, livestock pens, temples'. The Inner Six Matters refer to the internal Feng Shui layout, including 'main door, bedroom, kitchen stove, hallways and corridors, grinding stones'.
However, with the changes of the times, the design of modern Yang Houses has undergone tremendous transformations. Our discussion of Feng Shui's good and bad aspects must also keep pace with the times and meet practical living needs. Regarding the 'Outer Six Matters', wells and livestock pens are rarely seen in cities today; every household now has private bathrooms, eliminating the need for public toilets, so 'toilets' have shifted from 'outer matters' to 'inner matters'.
Today, the 'Outer Six Matters' in Feng Shui mainly focus on roads and bridges, which are part of the external environment of the home, including mountains, rivers, buildings, and streets. As for the ancient 'Inner Six Matters', grinding stones were used in rural areas for milling grains and pressing oil, but such stone machinery is rarely seen in modern homes. Furthermore, modern kitchens no longer use traditional wood-burning stoves, so there is no need to consider which direction the stove opening should face when adding firewood.
In summary, we should pay attention to the actual conditions of the modern environment and incorporate Feng Shui principles accordingly to establish a home that combines both good Feng Shui and practicality. This chapter will start from the external Feng Shui of the residence, explaining in detail the key external principles for selecting a house, so that readers can grasp the secrets of creating a prosperous and good Feng Shui home from the outside in.

Data Screenshot

Data Directory

Mai Lingling 'Good House, Good Feng Shui Design Manual' HD Color Edition 247 pages.pdf

[169

post-130788","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fengshui
["GET
