In recent years, with the improvement of social civilization, the study of ancient culture has sparked a craze. As a unique Chinese cultural category, divination culture has attracted countless Chinese people to explore and research. The Six Yao, Liu Ren, Four Pillars, and Qimen Dunjia are gradually becoming well known, but when it comes to the Golden Formula, many people may not be familiar because this divination art was secretly passed down in ancient times. It is well known that false books of Qimen Dunjia are numerous, but the Golden Formula has always been transmitted in a single system. Although there are other versions of the Golden Formula throughout history, they are largely similar. The true secrets inside the book have been deliberately deleted or altered. Why is the Golden Formula so secretive? Because it was originally designed to serve military decision-making. Later, it was circulated among the common people. Folk sayings say that once you learn the Golden Formula, you can understand this divination art without anyone explaining, which highlights its unique features.

In the book 'Great Liu Ren Tong Jie,' I once mentioned the idea of compiling a book on the Golden Formula. This has been a long-standing wish of mine because the Golden Formula is a rare gem among many divination arts. Its content involves advanced divination techniques that ancient people were reluctant to spread. Among the existing versions of the Golden Formula, not only are there serious textual errors, but the arrangement and cataloging of ancient books are also chaotic. Moreover, most of the mnemonic verses in ancient texts lack real case explanations, which creates significant learning obstacles for students of the Golden Formula. Many scholars have been exploring blindly. Now, based on my family inheritance and many years of practical experience in I Ching studies, I have compiled an ancient book of the Golden Formula and published some internal secrets of the true transmission of the Golden Formula. I hope that through my explanations and examples, I can provide some guidance and progress for readers.

The Golden Formula is said to be passed down from Ghost Valley Immortal Master and Ghost Valley disciple Sun Bin. This claim has some basis because, according to my research, the Golden Formula has a close connection with the ancient Eight Characters system of Li Xuzhong from the Tang Dynasty. To put it another way, the Golden Formula at least flourished during the Tang Dynasty. Currently, readers studying the Four Pillars of Destiny know that Zi Ping Ba Zi originated in the Song Dynasty. After the Song Dynasty, all books on the Four Pillars of Destiny discuss Zi Ping. However, in the Golden Formula, the part related to destiny includes a mnemonic verse: 'Upper Heavenly Stem for Prosperity, Lower Branch for Destiny, Nayin (Five Elements) within the body to examine its cause.' This concept of the Three Destinies is entirely based on Li Xuzhong's ancient Eight Characters system. This verse alone proves that the Golden Formula was not influenced by the Zi Ping Four Pillars system but belongs to an earlier ancient method.
