怎樣準確的分析是否真是「富命」呢？諸八字經典古籍内容往往似是而非，實際論命時很容易就踢到鐵板。其實，八字中的每一個字都是財，簡單地講「用神」代表「進財」，「忌神」代表「破財」，八字用神制住忌神時此命就會富，忌神制住用神時就會窮；當用神受生時，用神代表的方面必然就會進財，忌神受制時，忌神代表的方面也會進財，反之就會破財。至於要發哪方面的財，和破哪方面的財呢？則以用忌、神的十神性質和五行代表内容綜合確定。
