When it comes to divination, people first think of "Palmistry and Physiognomy." Currently, palmistry has become popular among the masses. At the same time, people have already stood on scientific grounds such as medicine and psychology, conducting extensive and in-depth research on hands.

Everyone knows that "palmistry" is closely related to us. In our daily lives, there are no significant obstacles, and it is easily accepted.

Because it judges a person's good or bad, misfortune or blessing, success or failure, gain or loss through a person's "face" and "hands," "palmistry" and "physiognomy" are like representatives of people's destinies.

Our ancestors, based on the above ideas, practiced and summarized the divination art of "physiognomy" (face and hands). They used the features and patterns of "physiognomy" to study all the good, bad, success, failure, disaster, and blessing in people's lives, further improving it, and passing it down through generations.

This book publicly presents the "palmistry" including all content of the orthodox palmistry developed in Japan, adding parts that were not included in traditional "Fei Mianhua," and it is completely different from Western palmistry based on personality traits.

The formal name of this palmistry is "Golden Face Jade Palm School Physiognomy," where "Golden Face" refers to facial features, and "Jade Palm" refers to the hands, i.e., palmistry.

This physiognomy has been transmitted in Japan's "Tōha" school for three hundred years and has a considerable history in China as well. After the Ming Dynasty, at least, it was an excellent divination art passed down by the "Tōha" school.

Today, when it comes to palmistry, people think of all Western-style palmistry; conversely, the Eastern-style palmistry refers to the general "physiognomy" handed down today, including palmistry.
Chinese physiognomy (palmistry, face reading) can be divided into three types: "Ma Yi Physiognomy," "Shen Xiang Tie Guan Dao Physiognomy," and "Golden Face Jade Palm Physiognomy." "Ma Yi Physiognomy" has become popular in both China and Japan, generally referring to "physiognomy." Mentioning "Eastern palmistry" is still easily misunderstood as "Ma Yi Physiognomy".

In China, although few remain, "Shen Xiang Tie Guan Dao Physiognomy" and "Golden Face Jade Palm Physiognomy" still exist; in Japan, they may have been lost. Therefore, when "Eastern palmistry" is mentioned, it naturally brings to mind "palmistry" from "Ma Yi Physiognomy," which is not surprising. It is easy to distinguish the advantages and disadvantages between Western and Eastern palmistry. There is no real connection between "divination" and "scholarship." Divination studies "physiognomy" from a completely different perspective than medicine and psychology, so it does not require profound theories. As long as it is applied practically, one can immediately judge its quality.
