The map of the journey of consciousness, the guide to the wheel of life

Once, while sitting on a wool blanket in deep meditation, I experienced something strange. I was quietly and mindfully counting my breaths when I suddenly realized I had left my body, gazing at another myself sitting cross-legged. It was then I suddenly understood who I was seeing (even though she looked a bit older), and I noticed a book had fallen onto her lap. When the book settled, I was jolted back into my body, and when I looked down, the title was 'The Chakra System,' authored by A. Judith Mull (my name at the time).

It was 1975. Not long before, I had just first read the word 'chakra,' but it had already deeply rooted in my mind. I exited the meditative state to find that passage. It was a small excerpt from Ram Dass's book, and I almost directly flipped to that page.

After repeatedly reading that passage several times, I immediately felt a surge of energy spinning within me. It was a profound shock, like the feeling a detective might have when discovering an important clue. It was also a nurturing feeling, as if something new was beginning to grow. At that moment, I knew I would eventually write this book.

Before the word 'chakra' appeared in the index and bibliographic cards of books, many years had passed. Due to very limited information, I was forced (luckily) to develop my own theories through self-experimentation and validation from others (whom I guided in yoga and bodywork). Everything I saw soon—colors, events, behaviors, and ways of counting—seemed to all fall into a 'seven' pattern.

This clean and concise pattern, but I couldn't find any concrete information that could relate to my theories.

Each of us has seven energy centers, like wheels, rotating within our inner core, called chakras. Chakras are vortex-like convergence points of life force energy, each reflecting an aspect of consciousness that is vital to our essence of life. The seven chakras form an intricate

‘Formula for Wholeness,’ integrating body, mind, and spirit. The complete chakra system provides powerful tools for personal and planetary growth.
Chakras are the energy centers governing organization, helping us receive, absorb, and transmit life energy. Our chakras are the core of life, forming a coordinated network within the complex mind-body system. From instinctive behaviors to deliberately designed strategies, from emotions to artistic creation, chakras are fundamentally the programming controlling everything—governing our lives, desires, learning, and enlightenment. The seven chakras are seven vibrational forms, forming the mysterious 'Rainbow Bridge.' Through this connection, they link heaven and earth, heart and body, spirituality and matter, past and future. When we are caught up in the noise and chaos of the present era, the role of chakras is like gears, driving the whirlpool of evolution, pulling us forward toward areas of consciousness yet to be developed and infinite potential.

The body is the tool carrying consciousness, and chakras are the wheels of life. They drive this vessel through trials, hardships, and transformation. To navigate smoothly, manuals and maps are necessary to guide us on how to voyage within the realms this vehicle can explore.

This book is a map of the journey of consciousness; you can think of it as a 'user guide' for the chakra system. Like any other map, it does not tell you where to go but helps you navigate on the journey of desires. The entire book focuses on how to integrate the seven archetypes of consciousness that influence our lives.
